Southwest Healthcare System’s Rancho Springs Medical Center campus in Murrieta today announced plans for expansion and renovation of the facility. The project is expected to begin immediately and will occur in phases over the next three years, with particular focus on ensuring the facility remains open for patient care with minimum disruption. Southwest Healthcare System is also finalizing investment plans for the Inland Valley campus, details of which will be announced soon.
“This project has been years in the making and is focused on continuing to meet the demands of the growing population,” stated Brad Neet, CEO of Southwest Healthcare System. “Our team does an amazing job of delivering award-winning, quality care to our patients and their families. I am proud to announce we will be undertaking this exciting project to improve and expand Southwest’s position as the preferred provider of healthcare in our communities while offering enhanced capabilities to deliver superior care in a state-of-the-art environment.”
The expansion and renovation at Rancho Springs will focus on Women’s and Children’s Services, the Emergency Department, and other key clinical offerings such as the health system’s Robotics program. New and renovated areas will feature private patient rooms and installation of industry-leading clinical technologies for minimally invasive procedures, along with globally sustainable infrastructure enhancements.
It has been more than 35 years since Rancho Springs broke ground in Murrieta. “Over the years, we have become a preferred destination for healthcare services in the region," stated Neet. "We have renovated and updated the facility, but nothing of this magnitude. The meticulous attention to every detail and the hours of planning and preparation for this kind of project takes a massive team effort and we are very excited to get the project started.”
Southwest Healthcare System services a vast and diverse population throughout Southwest Riverside County and anticipates steady growth in the years ahead. “This is exactly why our significant expansion plans are essential for our hospital system to continue meeting the advanced healthcare needs of our surrounding communities,” said Neet. “In partnership with the medical staff and community, our goal is to be the leading provider of safe, high-quality, innovative, patient-centric healthcare in the region. Our expansion and renovation project here at the Rancho Springs campus will also allow us to continue our vision of Building Relationships that Touch the Heart.”
