Visiting Patients at Rancho Springs
Due to high influenza activity, visitors will be restricted until further notice.
To prevent the transmission of Influenza and other respiratory diseases to healthcare workers and other patients, please adhere to the following restrictions:
- Medical/ICU/PCU Units: Anyone under the age of 12 years of age or any person with cold or flu like symptoms such as fever, cough or runny nose will not be allowed to visit patients admitted to this facility.
- Women’s Services: Only healthy adults and siblings of the newborn will be allowed to visit.
Please feel free to visit when you are symptom free of any respiratory illness. Thank you for protecting our patients and staff.
General visiting hours at Rancho Springs Medical Center are from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. However, hours may vary by department.
11 a.m. – 8 p.m. (children under 12 years old are not permitted except sibling of newborns).

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Parents and guardians are welcome to visit any time unless there is a danger of spreading illness, such as during a severe flu season. Brothers, sisters and other family and friends may visit between 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. However, at the parent’s discretion, we offer around-the-clock visiting privileges. Visiting children are the responsibility of the parent. Children under the age of 13 — including brothers and sisters of the patient — must be accompanied by an adult in all areas. Those not allowed to visit include:
- Anyone who has symptoms of a contagious illness, such as the flu, a cough, cold, vomiting, diarrhea or rash.
- Anyone who has not had the chicken pox, measles or other infectious diseases and has had a known exposure in the past three weeks. If you received the chicken pox vaccine in the last three weeks, talk to your child's nurse before visiting.
During the winter months, when flu and respiratory illnesses are at their highest, we limit visiting in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). To protect our patients, parents are the only ones we allow to visit during these times.
Critical Care Units
Only immediate family members are allowed and no more than two visitors are allowed at one time.
